True Depth 3D rechargeable DLP-link glasses for DLP 3D TVs and Projectors

The new and improved TrueDepth DLP LINK 3D shutter glasses provide a high quality low cost solution for viewing 3D images, movies and games on all Samsung or Mitsubishi 3D TVs (including legacy TVs!) as well as 3D projectors! No emitter is needed! These glasses feature a larger viewing area and a clearer image than other DLP LINK glasses on the market today. These come with a storage pouch and a cloth to clean the glasses. These glasses recharge easily via included USB cable!  These also include 3 sets of nosepads for children or adults!  These glasses feature a polarity reverse switch so corrections can be made while viewing- at the touch of a button!  This eliminates the need to enter complicated menus on your TV or projector.  These glasses are also less sensitive to light than the classic version.  Now you can view 3D material in most lighting conditions!

  1. Hi i got a samsung dlp tv model #HL56A650C1FXZA. was wondering will the 3d glasses work with my tv and ps3 ? Also I am new to 3d so is their a certain kind of 3d blurays I should purchase or not really ?

    • Hello,
Unfortunately, the Samsung HL56A650C1FXZA requires that the signal be converted to a checkerboard format. The only way to do this when viewing through a PS3 is to buy a modified converter (Samsung no longer supports these 3D ready TVs). You will want to contact Tru3D which is the only company I know of that sells these. Their phone number is:
      888-400-4066
As for 3D blu ray discs, as long as it says “blu ray 3D” it will work great! Stay away from the blu rays that simply say “3D” or “anaglyph” as these require colored glasses and will not work properly with your system (though they will play in your player and can be viewed with colored glasses)
Please let me know if I can be of further assistance! Thank you for your interest!

      • So if buy the coverter will your glasses work with it or do I need to get one from tru3d ?

        • Yes, our glasses will work great. The adapter simply takes the input signal and converts it to the proper (checkerboard) output format. This will get the picture in the right format and our glasses will allow you to view it in 3D! Thanks again for your interest!

          • Sorry to be a bother but I found a blu ray player that supports the checker board option. I was wondering if I still needed the modified converter or do I only need the coverter if I planned on using 3d on the ps3 ? I am just starting us 3d so again sorry to be a bother.

          • Not a bother at all! That’s what we’re here for! No, you do not need to buy an additional converter. The checkerboard compatible blu ray player will play blu ray discs on your TV without any trouble. However, if you wanted to view other 3D material (such as a PS3 game) you will need the converter since the blu ray player will only convert the blu rays. Thank you for your interest!

  2. I’m using a Panasonic 220 connected to a Samsung HL72A650. I tried the xpand 102 which worked but only at close range. My normal viewing position is about 14 feet from the tv. Will your product work with my setup?

    Thanks – Mike

    • Hi Mike,
Unfortunately, the viewing distance depends more on the TV than the glasses. Most Panasonic 3D TVs only transmit the infrared signal to about 10 – 12 feet. Some will go as far as 14 or 15 feet, but not much further. I would guess you’re going to run into the same problem with our glasses due to the limitation of the TV. Sorry I couldn’t help more :(

      • I’m asking about the DLP link glasses. The TV has no emitter but it has a port at the back to connect an external emitter.

What range can I expect to get with the DLP link glasses with a Samsung HL72 A650 TV?

Am I better off forgetting about the DLP link and going with an IR or RF type glasses?

        Thanks

        • Oops. Sorry about that. I didn’t take a good enough look at your comment. I saw “Panasonic” not realizing you were referring to the blu ray player rather than the TV. Please accept my apologies.
At any rate, yes the DLP-link glasses should be able to sync to 15 + feet definitely. However, it is not a bad idea to consider infrared glasses as they are guaranteed to sync to 25 feet with an external emitter (our emitters are much more powerful than those inside most 3D TVs today). It is really a matter of preference. The infrared glasses are battery powered and the DLP-link glasses are rechargeable. Both are good for different reasons. If it were me, I would go with the infrared glasses, but if you’d rather not buy the emitter ($50.00 or $39 if you buy direct from us) then go with the DLP-link. You can’t go wrong either way. I hope this helps!

  3. Hi,

Will these Glasses work with the Viewsonic PJD5133 DLP 3d Projector? If yes, where in India can I purchase these?

    Cheers!
    Karthik R

    • Yes, the glasses will work great with your projector! However, since it is a “3D-ready” projector, it will require either a PC with stereoscopic software or a converter box to view 3D properly. For more information or to buy, please contact us at support(at)truedepth3d(dot)com. We ship directly to India. Thank you!

  4. Hi,
I have an Optoma ml500 projector, which indicates it is compatible with DLP link glasses, when used with a 3d enabled computer. I’ve installed the iz3d 3d driver on my computer and connect through the VGA port. Will you glasses work with the ML500?

    Thanks

    • Hi Dennis,
Yes, our DLP-link glasses will work great with your projector. However, the iz3D drivers likely will not work since these are made for the iz3D monitor/iz3D classic media player. You will need a media player like Stereoscopic Player (around $50 – free to try for 5 minutes of play at a time). Stereoscopic player supports a variety of 3D formats. Although it will not fully support 3D blu ray viewing, there are work-around methods for this. Please click HERE for details. There is also software that can encode 3D blu ray discs to the proper format that Stereoscopic player will recognize. If you need further details, please contact us at support(at)truedepth3D(dot)com
      Thanks!

  5. I have 2 pairs of your 3D DLP glasses that I use with my Mitsubishi 3D DLP TV and Panasonic 3D Player, but I would like to replace my current TV with a LED 3D TV. Might there be any other brand of TVs that are 3D ready and compatible with the DLP glasses?

    • Unfortunately, the DLP-link 3D glasses are restricted to DLP 3D TVs and DLP 3D projectors. We carry glasses that are compatible with LED 3D TVs however. With this said, if you switch to a non-DLP TV, you will need to switch glasses as well. Sorry :(

  6. Hi,
I have just ordered 6 pairs of True Depth 3D DLP-LINK glasses. I want to know if they will work with Optoma GT750E projector.

    • Yes,
These glasses will work great with the Optoma GT750E! Thank you for your interest!

  7. Hello,
A friend in Japan owns an Acer h5360bd 3D Projector (which he bought in that country) and wants me to buy your True Depth 3D DLP-LINK Rechargeable 3D Glasses. Can you tell me if your product is compatible with this type of projector? Thank you for your time.

    Shohei

    • Yes, absolutely!
The DLP-link signal is universal and will work in all countries. The Acer h5360bd is compatible with these glasses. Thanks for your interest!

  8. I recently purchased a 73 misubishi dlp model wd73640 along with a lg 3d bluray player. I was wondering if these glasses will work for me and do I need a emitter or anything else. Im not very computer savy so im hoping that I wont have to hook my laptop up to my tv. Please help

    • These glasses will work great! Also, no need to hook up a computer. The WD73640 converts the signal internally, so all you need now are DLP link glasses which do not require an emitter. They sync with the TV directly. Thanks for your interest!

  9. Hi, will the new dlp link rechargeable glasses work with the Samsung hlt5087s?

    Thanks,
    David

    • Yes! These glasses will work great with the Samsung HL-T5087S. However, please note that this TV requires the input signal to be converted to a checkerboard output format that the TV displays. There are a few ways to do this including connecting your TV to a PC running stereoscopic software. The easiest method, however, is to use a 3D blu ray player that supports checkerboard output. There are a few made by Panasonic. You can find there through the links below:

      Panasonic DMP-BDT210
      Panasonic DMP-BDT310
      Panasonic DMP-BDT100
      Panasonic DMP-BDT110

As long as this conversion is taken care of, the glasses will provide a perfect 3D image on your TV!

  10. Where can I get a pair of your glasses that’s compatible with the vivitek 512 3d? I still have last years pair that won’t work with my projector but your new ones are updated to work with it right?

    • We’ve sent you an e-mail directly to get this taken care of for you. Thanks for your business!

  11. I am about to purchase a BenQ W7000 projector. The BenQ uses a red flash for the DLP-link. Do your glasses properly filter for the red flash?

    • Yes,
The current model has been updated to support the red flash. Thanks for your interest!

  12. I have a Benq W700 and wondering if your DLP link glasses will work with it? The Benq 3d glasses are DLP link and they are supposed to work with it without any converter.

    Thanks,
    Leo

    • Although I cannot find confirmation that the projector works without any converter, it is certainly possible. The glasses will definitely work with this projector, but be aware that the projector was designed to be used with a PC. If you have confirmation that the projector internally converts the signal from a 3D blu ray signal, then I can assure you that these glasses will work great with this configuration as well. Please let me know if you have further questions. I’m happy to help!

  13. I have a 2010 Mitsubishi 273738 73″ DLP projector TV 3D ready. Is there any issue with the 3D signal from DirecTV with these Glasses. Do I need the emitter? Also, my BluRay is a PS3 updated for 3D.

    thank you

    • Your TV will work great with DirecTV. No need for an emitter or adapter if you are using DLP-link glasses. They receive the signal directly from the TV. Make sure that you have the latest firmware for your TV and the conversions will all be done internally. Between the updated PS3, the 738 TV and DirecTV, these glasses will be all you need to enjoy 3D entertainment. Thanks for your interest!

  14. I just bought DLP Link ready projector Benq W710ST and would like to know if this glasses would work on my projector? If yes than where can i buy them and how much do they cost?
    Thank you!

    • Yes, these glasses will absolutely work with the projector! However, something to be aware of- this projector was created to be used with a computer if you plan to view 3D images or movies. You can use stereoscopic software to view 3D movies through a PC. If you intend to use a 3D blu ray player, you cannot connect it directly to this projector. You will need a converter to get the 3D to come through. Both Viewsonic and Optoma make a converter. Either will work with your projector. You can find them HERE and HERE

  15. Will these glasses work with a Mitsubishi WD60C9?

I don’t really understand the technology. Do some not require an emitter at all? Or is it just built into certain TVs? I do have an IR transmitter from my Nvidia 3d Vision kit, but broke the glasses… wondering if there are less expensive glasses that will work.

    • Yes, 3D technology has gotten very confusing these days with all of the glasses options, TVs, DLP-link, infrared, bluetooth, polarized, anaglyph etc. Basically, DLP link glasses are for DLP 3D TVs and DLP 3D ready TVs and projectors only. The glasses will work great with the Mitsubishi WD60C9 as it is a DLP TV. However, this TV requires the 3DA-1 adapter to display 3D properly. You can find the adapter HERE
It basically converts the input signal to the proper output signal that the TV displays. This can also be done with a PC running the appropriate software, or if you plan to only watch 3D blu ray discs, you can use a 3D blu ray player like THIS ONE
It sounds though, like you will be using these glasses for 3D gaming. If this is the case, I would recommend the 3DA-1 adapter as it will convert anything. The glasses do not require an emitter at all since they pick up the signal from the DLP TV directly through the picture. Hope this helps!

      • Thanks for responding, I appreciate it. It gives me a much better idea what I’m dealing with than what I’ve been reading on the internet thus far!

        • You’re welcome. I’m happy to help any time!

  16. I have the Mitsubishi WD-73640 – What is better DLP-LINK or Emitter based glasses?

    • DLP-link is a great way to go since they don’t require the same narrow line of site as infrared. They also sync further than most infrared glasses (our DLP-link glasses sync at 30 + feet). Other than those factors, it really comes down to personal preference.

  17. Are these compatible with Viewsonic PJD5523W projector with VP3D1??

    • Yes,
These glasses will work perfectly with your setup. Thanks for your interest!

  18. Having a hard time figuring out what glasses to get I have a wd 73840 and I want them to be rechargable but cant seem to find any that say they will work that are recargable

    • The DLP-link glasses are the ones you are looking for. They will work great with the 73840 series and they are rechargeable. You can get them on Amazon in 2 packs or 4 packs, or you can write us at sales(at)truedepth3d(dot)com to buy directly. Thanks!

      (amazon links below)
      2 Pack
      4 Pack

  19. Goood Morning! I’m interested in your True Depth 3D rechargeable DLP-link glasses for DLP 3D TVs and Projectors but i am not sure that my projector is compatible. I have a Bneq MS513 with Projection System DLP® by Texas Instruments® and the player is a Sony BDP-S480 3D Blu-ray Disc Player.
Thanks for your infos about that

    N.Vaccari

    • Hello,
Thank you for your interest! These glasses will work great with your projector, however, the projector does not support 3D blu ray players natively. To view 3D Blu ray discs, you will need a converter like THIS ONE or THIS ONE . You can also view 3D material through a PC connected to the computer, but since you already have the 3D Blu ray player, I would recommend one of the converters linked to above. Please feel free to let us know if you have further questions.

  20. I just bought 4 pair of rechargeable true depth 3d dlp-link glasses for my
0ptoma hd33 and would like to know if I need anything else so I can
use these glasses. After reading the post I understand that there is a
problem with the glasses and this projector.

    • No, you do not need anything else other than a 3D source (3D blu ray player, PC etc) As long as you purchased the glasses after Dec 27th 2011, you would have received the latest model of glasses that are fully compatible with the HD33. Thanks so much for your business!

  21. Hi,

Were can I order those glasses in Europe. Amazon won’t ship them to me.
Do they work fine with the Acer H9500BD projector?

    • The 3D Pro Store ships to Europe. The glasses now work great with all 3D projectors and DLP 3D TVs. The Vivitek and Optoma projectors were the only ones with problems, but the issues are fixed now. You can find the glasses with international shipping available HERE

  22. According to Amazon Reviewer, you don’t need an adoptor if glasses are active shutter DLP Link glasses. Is this true or not?
    Thanks.

    • hello,
please accept our apologies. The 640 series does NOT require the adapter. We had our model numbers mixed up when we were checking. We have edited that last comment. Sorry for the confusion.

  23. Does Mitsubishi DLP WD-73640 require the 3DA-1 adapter ? Thanks.

    • yes, the 640 series does require the 3DA-1 adapter. Thank you for contacting us!
[EDIT: The 640 series does NOT require the adapter. We were referencing the 638 series which does. Our apologies for getting the model numbers mixed up]

  24. Are these compatible to view blu rays in 3D through a PS3 using an Acer H5360 & an Optoma 3D-XL converter box?

    • Yes,
These glasses will work great with the Optoma 3D-XL on an Acer projector using a PS3. The 3D-XL with translate the signal to the appropriate output perfectly.

      • thanks, admin. you are the man! will be picking up 2 pair from amazon shortly…. 5 star rating on amazon!

  25. I think I know the answer but I just want to be sure before I buy. I have a 2009 Mitsubishi WD-73C9 and have finally decided to try 3D. So I have no hardware for 3D other than the TV. Will your rechargeable DLP Link glasses work on my model without the 3DA1 adapter? Will I need an emitter? Thanks.

    • hello,
thank you for writing. Our DLP link glasses will work great with your TV. No emitter is required, however, you do need the 3DA-1 adapter available HERE
since the 2009 TVs do not perform the necessary conversions internally. Thank you for your interest!

    • The power button on one pair of glasses has stopped working. What do I do?

      • Sorry about that! We had another pair sent out to you this morning. You should receive an e-mail confirmation soon. Please don’t hesitate to contact us again if you have any further issues or concerns. Thanks for your business!

        • Excellent product! Glasses are working perfectly with my Mitsu DLP and the outstanding customer service if anything is even better! Thanks for providing such an excellent experience.

          • Thanks for the kind words and for your business! So glad we could get this taken care of!

  26. I have two pairs of the dlp link rechargeable glasses. The paper that came with the glasses say the battery life is 50 hours. How do you replace the batteries ?

    • Hi Glenn,
No worries. The battery is rechargeable via USB. The 50 hours only indicates how long the batteries will last during ONE charge (and this is only when they are in use) They will last quite a while. When the battery dies, you can recharge it for years to come. You will get 50 hours out of it for each charge. Thanks!

  27. I am interested in 2 -4 pair of the True Depth 3D rechargeable DLP-link glasses for DLP 3D TVs and Projectors. I have a Mitsubishi WD-65C10 65-inch 1080p 3D Home Cinema TV and I would like you to also verify that I will need the 3DA-1 converter with the DLP Link glasses to view the 3D on the TV.

    • You got it! The Mitsubishi WE-65C10 does require the 3DA-1 adapter found HERE
Please let me know if you have further questions. Thanks!

  28. I’d love to buy a pair of these, but they’re no longer available on Amazon. Is there anywhere else I could possibly buy these?

These seem like the perfect glasses, but I’ve searched and found no where that sells these. Can you please help explain why?

    • Hi Joe,
thank you for your interest. Unfortunately due to the popularity of these glasses, we currently have very low stock. Please rest assured that they will be back in stock on Amazon and other selling venues very soon (we are manufacturing more which will be available in the next week). However, if you’d like to get your hands on a couple pairs now we do have a few in stock that we can send you directly. If you are interested in this please feel free to e-mail us at: sales (at) truedepth3d (dot) com and we will be happy to provide you with whatever you need. Thanks again for your great communication. We hope to hear from you soon!

  29. It seems your rechargeable glasses are out of stock lately

    http://www.amazon.com/True-Depth-3D-DLP-LINK-Rechargeable/dp/B0055KGCXE/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top

I wanted to get the 4 pairs option but it seems like they aren’t being stocked up. Do you know when you guys will stock up on these again?

Also one question, I have a Mitsubishi 73837 DLP TV, and most users that use DLP glasses say that they are experiencing the “Rainbow effect” on their TV during bright scenes. I’m wondering if this can be tested or answered. Thank you!

    • Hi Phillip,
      thanks for your interest.
We currently have a very low stock of these but we’re having more manufactured right now and we should have more ready to go within a few days. However, if you’d like more immediately please contact us at sales (at) truedepth3d (dot) com as we do have a few in stock ready to ship.
As far as the rainbow effect, this was an issue with our original model that some people experienced. However in this latest rechargeable model we have corrected that issue. Please let me know if you have any further questions. I am happy to help in anyway I can. Thanks so much for your interest!

  30. Now that I have four pairs of glasses, I have two questions. Where is this LED at? I look all over and can’t find it. Can I buy a USB hub and use it only for charging so I do not have to turn my computer on to recharge my glasses?

    • The LED is actually ON the button. You may not see it if your finger is over it The button itself lights up. As far as charging, you can buy a USB hub if it has it’s own power. Most USB hubs attach to a computer and require the computer to be on. Your other option, would be to buy something like THIS which would work great for charging all 4 glasses without the use of a computer.

  31. I have a Mitsubishi 73838 and assume your 3D DLP rechargeable glasses will work with this system out-of-the-box?

Question….will these glasses fit over normal glasses? We have one near-sighted person in our family and certainly an occasional friend viewing who normally wears glasses. I do not see any comments about this in product descriptions or Amazon reviews.

    Thank you, H. Ring

    • yes indeed! These will fit over prescription glasses without any trouble. Of course, glasses come in various shapes and sizes, but no customer has reported an issue with this so far.
For the 73838, the glasses will work right out fo the box since your TV converts the blu ray signal internally. Please let me know if you have further questions. I’m happy to help!

  32. Hi, I have the following hardware:
    Mitsubishi WD-65C10 65-inch 1080p 3D Home Cinema TV
Mitsubishi 3DC-1000 3D HDTV Starter Pack (w/2 glasses)

Will these new rechargeable glasses work with my setup?
Will they work simultaneously with the Mitsubishi glasses?

Roughly, how many hours of use between recharges?

    Thanks.

    • Technically the DLP LINK glasses should work since they have a polarity reversal switch built in (the left and right eye will be reversed initially) but you’ll be much better off going with out glasses that were specifically designed for the 3DC-1000 kit’s emitter which can be found through the links below:

      1 Pair
      2 Pairs
      4 Pairs
Please let us know if you have further questions. Thanks!
P.S. if you do go with the rechargeable DLP LINK glasses, the battery lasts around 50 hours before needing to be recharged. This is the same as the CR2032 batteries that the Mitsubishi model takes. Thanks again for your interest!
